1. Know your cover
Do you know what you’re covered for? Your hospital excess? It might sound basic, but knowing this stuff helps avoid unwelcome surprises down the line. There could even be more things you could be claiming, like travel shots or prescription sunnies. Give us a buzz on 1800 808 690 or email email@example.com, and we can tell you!
2. Know your limits
We don’t mean at the gym or when your kids are naughty; we’re talking about your extras benefits. Know where your usage is at so you’re not caught out. Don’t stress though - our app makes keeping track of claims a piece of cake! Oh, and we run on a financial year, which means your Extras benefits reset on 1 July.
3. Get friendly with Larry
No, not Larry Emdur from The Price is Right, our app. Larry is all about helping you make managing your cover (and health) a breeze! Submit photo claims, check your claims history & available benefits, update your details, access useful health info and more. Download him today from Google Play store or App Store. You’ll be 'appy as Larry!
4. Check in with us before your hospital visit
If you’re going into hospital, call us and we can talk you through what to do. We can also tell you about other helpful Peoplecare services that might get you home and into your own bed sooner. And don’t forget to check out our handy hospital fact sheet.
5. Review your cover
One thing we can all count on, besides taxes, is that life keeps changing. Maybe you’re about to get hitched (congrats!) or are starting to think about babies (that’s great!), or maybe your kids have left the family nest (finally!). As your life changes, knowing if you’ve got the right health cover can be tricky, so give us a buzz and we’ll make sure you do.
6. Discounts and freebies

7. Free health programs
Are you on one of our hospital covers?* We have a whole heap of free health programs, with everything from 1:1 mental health support to a personal health coach for heart disease management.
*'You need to have served your 2-month waiting period. These programs aren't available on Bronze Hospital and Basic Hospital (Basic Plus).
