Mental Health Month

Each year in October, we celebrate Mental Health Month. This month encourages everyone, whether they have lived experience with mental illness or not, to reflect on their mental health and wellbeing. It serves as a reminder of the vital role good mental health plays in our daily lives and promotes seeking help when needed.

The theme for this year's Mental Health Month is "Let’s Talk About It". This October, consider how you connect with those around you.

What will you talk about?

The theme emphasises the importance of connecting with others - whether it’s family, friends, or your community. Building these connections supports mental wellbeing. By engaging in conversations about mental health and sharing lived experiences, we can enhance psychological wellbeing and promote overall wellness. Through collective unity and compassion, we create a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to discuss mental health openly, seek reassurance, and find support.

Together, we can foster a safe space for those living with mental health challenges, for those who support others and for those receiving care.
